SEXUAL IMMORALITY (EZEKIEL 16:1-63)
Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh
The youth of these days finds it very difficult to overcome fornication. This sin occurs mostly in our various campus and jurisdictions. I have come with these simple methods on how to overcome every sin especially sexual immorality which affects the body and the soul. I believe that if you walk in the steps of Christ Jesus, you will always live in victory because Jesus Christ defeated sin in the flesh and He has given us the grace to live in his righteousness as we submit to the Holy Spirit. (See 1 Corinthians 6:18, Proverbs 6:32).
First, we must understand what sexual immorality is? It can be simply defined as enjoying sex before marriage (fornication) and enjoying sex with a different partner when married (adultery). OR sin of impurity between unmarried people. Let us look at some few risks associated with this common sin found even within our churches.
CONSEQUENCES OF SEXUAL IMMORALITY
SPIRITUAL ASPECT
1. It defiles the body because our the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (See 1 Corinthians 6:19).
2. It destroys the soul by making the mind a battlefield for Satan to invoke all forms of evil and destruction to the victims (example: lust, masturbation, self-condemnation...) (See Proverbs 6:32).
3. It brings the victims into spiritual bondage which causes havoc and spiritual blindness.
4. It opens the portal for demonic depression.
5. It opens the portal for demonic oppression.
6. It opens the portal for demonic suppression.
7. It opens the portal for demonic possession.
8. It makes Satan manipulate the thoughts and conscience of the victims.
9. It may finally lead to physical death if the Lord does not intervene.
10. It will lead to spiritual death which will create a barrier between your spirit and the Holy Spirit.
11. It provokes and brings the anger and the indignation of God upon the victims (See Ezekiel 16:26, Psalm 7:11).
12. Such people will not make it to Heaven (See 1 Corinthians 6:9).

NOTE: This is just some few risks associated with sexual immorality.
PHYSICAL ASPECT
1. It defames your dignity within your jurisdiction. (shame, loss of virtue, lose respect and honour)
2. It can make you a womanizer or a harlot.
3. It attracts deadly diseases such as HIV, AIDS, GONORRHEA, SYPHILIS, HPV, CHLAMYDIA, GENITAL HERPES, BACTERIA VAGINAS, TRICHOMONIASIS, VIRAL HEPATITIS and many more, use of a condom is not fully safe!
WHY PEOPLE INDULGE THEMSELVES IN SEXUAL IMMORALITY
1. Ignorance (See Hosea 4:6)
2. Total Carnality (See Romans 8:5, Galatians 5:19).
3. Wearing sensual dressing which attracts people into all forms of immorality (See Isaiah 3:16-24, Proverbs 7:10).
4. Watching ungodly movies, videos such as devil-inspired films and pornographic scenes which grieves the Spirit of God and allow Satan to take control of the mind and the body (See 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Romans 8:5).
5. Premature relationships and bad association (See 2 Corinthians 6:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:22).
6. People who are rooted in fornication are not born again meaning they have not repented and have not accepted the Lordship of our Saviour Jesus Christ meaning the Spirit of God is absent in them.

HOW TO OVERCOME SIN ESPECIALLY THIS DEADLY SIN CALLED SEXUAL IMMORALITY
1. Repent from your sins and be baptized in the Holy Ghost for the remission of sin by accepting Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord of your life.
2. Believe, meditate and practise the word of God daily. (See Acts 2:38,4:12, John 14:6).
3. Live in the Spirit through anointed spiritual songs and christian messages (See Romans 8:1, 4,6,14, Galatians 5:22-23).
4. Be a principled Christian by making the word of God guard your heart and mind meaning you hold on to the word of God firmly and by that the grace of God will empower you to live above the desires of the flesh because the body is dead to sin. (See Romans 6:14, Titus 2:11-12, Psalm 119:33).
NOTE: Be a Principled Christian not a Legalistic Christian
5. Avoid carnality by resisting yourself from strange women, strange men and bad association (See 2 Corinthians 6:14-18).
6. Avoid ungodly videos such as porn and excessive romantic movies, ungodly music which suppresses the growth of your Christian life (See 2 Corinthians 6:14, Amos 3:3, Proverbs 10:14).
7. Be consistent and strategic in prayer. You must know when where and how to pray and fast. (See Daniel 6:10, 9:4, Acts 16:25).
HOW TO OVERCOME EVERY SIN ESPECIALLY MASTURBATION
First, acknowledge that masturbation is a desire of the flesh and the flesh is a great enemy to the Spirit. The flesh likes to feed on carnal things which may lead to sin whiles the spirit desires to follow in the footsteps of Christ Jesus.
The soul is in the position either to submit to flesh or the Spirit and the soul is the spiritual, rational and immortal substance in man, which distinguishes him from brutes.
Therefore the soul needs a renewal, the flesh needs discipline whiles the Spirit needs to connect with the spirit of God which will make the soul surrender to the Spirit. As the soul surrenders to the spirit, the flesh will subject his desires to the Spirit of God to walk in the Spirit which will make the believer live a victorious life.
Few steps to enable you walk in Spirit.
STEP ONE
GRACE
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Repent from the Sin and Confess Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord over Life, as you do that with faith and with a sincere heart, Grace will be given to you which will empower you to live a Holiness as you draw close to Jesus Christ and set yourself apart for him.
STEP TWO
THE FLESH
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
The flesh is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit therefore we must keep our bodies pure and make a declaration with the mouth that, we will not defile the temple of the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit cannot live in sinful jurisdiction.
The body has been bought by the blood of the lamb therefore it is a requirement from God as we present our bodies to him in times of worship and praises because our bodies are involved as we give honor to the Most High.
STEP THREE
THE SOUL
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: BUT BE YE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The mind is the battlefield as far as you live on the planet called Earth. Satan will project lustful thoughts and suggestion into your mind which will defile the influence of the Spirit therefore whatever you allow into mind becomes a battle for you.
If you allow negative thoughts and influence into your mind, Satan will take hold of your mindset and destroy it with wicked and suicidal thoughts, if you allow the Spirit of God to control your mind, you will tap into the mindset of God which will make you live a sinless life on earth.
STEP FOUR
THE SPIRIT
Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
The battle can never be won until there is a victory in the realms of the Spirit, therefore, the best way to overcome the fruits of the flesh is to walk in the love of Christ Jesus as you humble yourself through scriptural Christian worship music and allow the Spirit of God consecrate and sanctify you wholly.
